Inspiration | Silver

As you might have noticed over the past few years, gold has played a big part in the wedding design world. Along with the "rustic chic" style, gold has truly had it's shining moment! From votives, to table numbers, and even onto the invitations, gold is everywhere. So, here at Celebrate Colorfully, we wanted to mix it up a little and show you why silver should be your metallic color of choice!

It's time to break free of the gold trend! Change those gold votives, centerpiece vases, and cake toppers to something silver! Even adding silver sparkle is fun! Silver is a timeless, classic, and surely is beautiful. Keep scrolling for silver inspiration!

Wow! We love this idea. Calligraphy is something we use often, but changing from the traditional black pen, to a silver metallic... brilliant!

Silver can be a true show stopper! Don't be afraid to abandon the trend of gold! If you're looking for something to be unique (and I mean, who isn't!?), consider silver! A subtle change of a base color can make all the difference.

We hope those creative juices are flowing, and maybe even some silver sparkles in those eyes of yours! Once again, thank you for checking into this week's Inspiration post!

BRITTANY + TYLER | HOWELL FAMILY FARMS

Yay! It's #MarriedFaceMonday!

Today, we are so over-the-moon to finally share Brittany + Tyler's beautiful day at Howell Family Farms! Brittany is one of the most gorgeous and hilarious brides we've ever worked with! Every meeting with her was full of laughs and "telling it like it is!" You just can't not love this girl! Their day was full of soft, romantic florals, sweet details, and some good 'ol southern traditions!

One of our favorite details were the escort cards. Brittany LOVES Pellegrino Sparkling water so she bought the mini bottles and added a hand-lettered tag for each guest for them to find their seat.

The real magic moment of the day had the be right before the ceremony. The plan was to have the nuptials take place in the gorgeous courtyard area outside the barn, but about one hour before the ceremony, the rain came pouring down! Not just a drizzle either! It was full on storming so we hustled to get everything moved inside. But, with some true wedding day magic, about 5 minutes before Brittany walked down the aisle, it cleared up and everyone teamed up together to move the chairs back outside. It seriously turned out to be one of the most gorgeous, warm, sunny ceremony's we've ever seen!

These two were such a stunning couple and the whole day was full of love and laughter and lot's of partying! We hope you enjoy the full gallery and make sure to see the full vendor team below!

How To | Add Sparkle to Your Wedding Day

So your wedding researching is underway and if you're like the other 91% of brides who browse online for wedding inspiration, then you certainly have come across hundreds of unique ways to personalize your big day. From the music that you request be featured to the colors you use throughout your décor, there are several details of a wedding that make it something very special and true to your style.

Jillian Chopin, from Celebrate Colorfully, has put together some of her favorite personalization ideas to help you add a little sparkle throughout your day. Keep reading to find out more!

Meet the Wedding Party |
Weddings bring together all of your closest friends and family that you know very well; however, they may not all know each other at all. Therefore, including a few fun and unique facts about each wedding party member in the program is a special way to showcase those who are joining you in celebration of your big day! After all, your guests may not know that you went to kindergarten with your maid of honor and that the best man auditioned for American Idol!

Love Letters to Your Parents |
What a special way to show appreciation and love to those who have supported you since the beginning! Take some time a couple of weeks prior to the wedding to sit down and really put together a heartfelt letter to your parents, grandparents or whoever you wish to honor, and let them know how much they mean to you, how much their support has molded you into the individual that you are today, and how their guidance and lessons throughout the years will attribute to the strength and success of your new marriage.

Dedicate a Song
We all know that music really sets the tone for a wedding and that the mood can go from very sentimental to fun and lively within two seconds! If you have a song that really reminds you of a loved one or somehow was significant to your relationship during your courtship, ask the DJ to dedicate it right before he plays it for the crowd! This can be your introduction song, party songs, private last dance songs and so on.

Thank Your Guests |
Whether it's your wedding party who've been helping you plan for months or your out-of-town friends and family who traveled far and wide to attend your wedding, it goes without saying that weddings require a lot of time and attention! That being said, a quick “thank you” speech from you and your groom is such a gracious gesture that really goes a long way and allows you to thank each and every person in attendance all at once.

Cake To Go |
Ever wondered what happened to all of that delectable wedding cake at the end of the night?! Too often, we see cake being thrown away at the end of the night and oh how that makes us so sad! Send your guests home with the sweetest part of the day, a slice or two of your beautiful and yummy cake! You can easily place cake to-go boxes at the cake table near the end of the evening or if you are having someone serve the cake, tell them that you have to-go boxes and let them handle the process.

Sealed with a Love Letter and Wine |

Yes we said love and wine! On the day of your wedding, write each other a sweet love letter and tuck them away in a sealed wine box with your favorite Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. Keep the box sealed until your one-year anniversary and then open, pop, and CELEBRATE!

We hope these ideas inspire you to add some sparkle to your dream wedding! Share this post and comment with any unique ideas that you have as well!  As always, have a wonderful week from your wedding friends at Celebrate Colorfully!

TAYLOR + COLLIN | LOFTY SPACES

Yay! It's #MarriedFaceMonday!

We are beyond excited to share this wedding with everyone! Taylor and Collin's wedding was one for the ages. Every detail so thoughtfully chosen and every moment so full of love!

Taylor really wanted to create a colorful, overgrown garden aesthetic in a very industrial venue. We brought in lots of lush florals and vintage details to transform the loft space. Some of our favorite details include the paper suite (all designed by the bride herself!!), the maids in mixed dresses (coolest #girlgang ever!), and that cake table!! A spread of gorgeous cakes surround by a draping garden floral installation!

Of course, it wasn't just a beautiful wedding. It was an incredible celebration of love. If we had to absolutely pick just one, our favorite moment of the day would be the ceremony toast. Instead of a unity candle, the couple chose to have champagne passed to every one and to do a toast with all of their loved ones present and witnessing their vows. It was such a breath taking moment where you could feel all the happiness radiating from every guest.

And we can never say enough amazing things about our photography, Morgan Chidsey of A Sea of Love. She captured the whole day perfectly. Please enjoy this gallery and be sure to check out the full vendor team below.

TIPS | SAVING MONEY ON FLORALS

TIPS | SAVING MONEY ON FLORALS

Summer is here, and we’re ready to talk flowers! This week we’re sharing some advice on saving money on your wedding flowers. Everyone planning a wedding knows how expensive a beautiful bouquet can be, but they don’t have to! Here are four tips on how to get the best bang for your budget.

Stay In Season

This tip is tried and true. If you want peonies in the dead of winter, you're going to be paying a pretty penny. Ask your florist for recommendations on flowers that fit your season and aesthetic.

DIY Does NOT Mean Easy

I always say you can DIY anything, just not everything. Flowers are something that I am very hesitant to encourage brides to do themselves for a few major reasons.

You must do a test run! This is non-negotiable! Give yourself the opportunity to try floral arranging a few months ahead of time and determine if it’s really something you feel you can tackle the week of your wedding. You might find that you love it, and making centerpieces is calming! You might also find that it’s not your thing and doing 20 centerpieces and ten bouquets two days before your wedding is more stress than it’s worth. Either way, you’ll feel good about your decision!

Flowers are perishable. IE. You can’t do them more than a day or two ahead of time. So on top of your family coming into town, last minute appointments, rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, etc. you’ve got to find time to arrange flowers.

You have to buy much more than just blooms. In pretty much every wedding, we use pins, ribbons, shears, floral tape, wire, foam, vases, etc. It’s not that these things are complicated or challenging to track down, but these things can add up if you have to buy everything at once!

Be Upfront With Your Budget

When you meet with a potential florist for the first time, come with a number in mind. Nothing is worse than a client coming in with all of these gorgeous inspiration photos, not knowing what they want to spend, and receiving a proposal from their florist that is way way WAY more than they wanted to spend. Flowers can be beautiful on any budget (seriously)! And there is absolutely no need to feel embarrassed by yours. Say it confidently and ask your florist for any expertise they can offer to maximize it!

Hire A Florist You Trust

If you hire a florist you trust, you can give them your color scheme, style, and budget and let them work their magic! If you trust your vendors, your wedding day will be stress-free because you know you've got a team working to make your day magical!

Reuse, Reduce, Recycle

Another piece of advice we like to give is if you want floral arrangements for tables, but don't want to spend the extra cash... use the bridesmaids' bouquets! Set some pretty vases on the tables, bars, or anything you want to decorate and ask the girls to place their flowers in the vases when the ceremony and pictures are done. Two birds, one stone! And honestly, no one will even notice.

A budget and a creative florist will make all your floral dreams come true!
