SMITH + AARON | FARMHOUSE 1899

Time for another round of #marriedfacemonday and y’all, this one is extra special! We waited exactly one year to post these photos in order to celebrate this lovely couples’ one year anniversary today! We’re so excited to finally(!!) be sharing a few images from Smith + Aaron’s wedding last October featuring one of our favorite fall shades, burgundy! Hello Fall, you can stay!

Set under the big Texas sky, Smith + Aaron were married by a dear friend, under a handmade chuppah, surrounded by their closest friends and family. There’s something about Jewish ceremonies that give them an extra level of special. Perhaps it’s the Hebrew passages or the circling ceremony. It could also be the Sheva B'rachot, Seven Blessings, or the glass-breaking celebration at the end! Every moment and detail of Smith + Aaron’s ceremony were breathtaking and personal. Something I’m certain every bride + groom cherish on their wedding day.

From our bridal babe, Smith

THE SET UP
"Aaron and I met at a magical place called Camp Sweeney which is a summer camp for kids with type 1 diabetes! We met around the age of 14 and we’re friends first. During Aaron’s last summer at camp we really hit it off after spending the last year outside of camp getting to know each other better, and me even taking him as a date to a school dance. As it was his last year and he was headed for college we were hesitant to start anything but after a big push from a friend we took the plunge into being more than friends!”

THE PROPOSAL
Aaron and I were living in San Diego and we had planned a trip back home to Dallas right after the new year to see our families!
He was originally only planning on picking up the ring while we were in town but after some persistence from our jeweler and friends he was convinced to do it THE NEXT DAY! So safe to say he was acting weird the whole day and totally freaked me out! The next day he sent me to lunch with my best friend in downtown Plano where we ate, I complained about how weird he was being and then she asked to walk to the park so I could take a good photo of her on her phone school. Being completely oblivious I agreed and as we turned the corner Aaron was standing in the middle of a gazebo that he had lined with mason jars full of daises and pictures of our many years of dating! Our song at the time was playing in the background, he got down on one knee and I said yes! Enter FULL TEARS as all of our family and friends popped out including our best friend from San Diego who booked a flight the day before and got there just in time!

THE BEST PART
“Obviously getting to FINALLY marry your best friend.... but it was truly our ceremony! We had quite a few people but really strived to make it intimate with our best friend officiating and the ceremony really highlighting our 6 years as a couple. We went through a lot of ups and downs to get to that spot right there in front of all of our friends and family so it was really special! It’s definitely the one part everyone else remembers too!”

YOU OUGHTA KNOW
As a wedding vendor myself and working in a retail front for 6 years where I worked with brides on a daily basis I knew a lot! So I would say I knew a lot and prepared a lot to make it easy on my vendors! One thing I will say is to really know your budget and be smart about choosing places to save money! We were able to leave our wedding day with no debt, which is something I can’t say for quite a few of my brides and friends!

BANLEIGH + CARL | THE WHITE SPARROW

Yay! It's #MarriedFaceMonday!

Today we're welcoming fall by recapping Banleigh + Carl's gorgeous autumn wedding! The green and white color palette has become so popular recently, but this wedding feels fresh and unique because our bride, Banleigh, took that green and ran with it! We are obsessed with the deep emerald of her maids dresses and even this girl's eyes are an incredible shade of green!

For her florals, we wanted lots of texture and unique flower shapes. You won't find any traditional roses here! We kept it a little funky with dahlias, anmeones, and lots of queen anne's lace to bring in that pop of white against lush greenery.

The head table is truly what dreams are made of with a gorgeous garland runner full of textural greenery and garden style white blooms. Mixed with romantic gold candlesticks and votives to add soft candlelight while these two danced the night away. It couldn't have been more perfect!

Thank you to Sadi Brooke Photography for capturing the whole day so beautifully and be sure to see the full team below!

Yay! It's #MarriedFaceMonday!

If color is your jam, you are going to be head over heels with today's wedding! Caroline + Mack tied the knot last fall at the Dallas Arboretum with a garden style vibe worthy of this famous Dallas wedding venue!

Caroline was such a stunning bride with a soft, clean romantic style and we feel like that perfectly influenced her wedding day design. We absolutely loved the collected look of her head table, full of romantic blooms in clear glass vases.

But our favorite element of the day? Her bouquet! This is hands-down one of our favorite bouquets ever. We just can't get enough of the mix of colors and how each blooms looks unique but cohesive. We'll never get over those Cafe Au Lait Dahlias either!

Thank you to Apryl Ann Photography for capturing every moment so beautifully!

RACHAEL + BLAKE | THE WHITE SPARROW

To be honest, I didn't quite realize how behind on posting our work we were until I came across this stunning gallery from LAST OCTOBER and my mind was blown. Don't you fret, we're pulling photos and googling synonyms for "happy" like mad over here!

Rachel + Blake tied the knot last year at one of our favorite venues in Texas, The White Sparrow. This gem of a venue is situated in Quinlan Texas and some people question if it's worth the 40 minute drive from downtown Dallas. Trust us, it totally is! Give Marissa a call and schedule a tour, you will not be disappointed! A member of the Celebrate Dallas team will even be having her wedding there next year!

Now back to our #marriedfacemonday couple and their stunningly rustic wedding day. October usually marks the beginning of fall in Texas and the weather did not disappoint. With the perfectly overcast lighting and our favorite backdrop, there's just so much to love about this day! We paired dark wooden accents with soft neutral blooms and subtle pops of pink. The men were styled in dark navy suits with pale pink ties, while the maids dazzled in various shades of dusty rose and creamy ivory.

One of Rachael's absolute must-haves was a pair of teal velvet chairs from Beautiful Event Rentals she'd spotted on a blog feature of our Autumnal Boho Editorial. Those bold chairs became the focal point of our entire design, playing the vital role of dinner seating. Family was also a huge inspiration to the couple when it came to their wedding day. The date was specifically chosen as a nod to Rachael's parents, who also wed on the first weekend of October. Their officiant was a close family friend who spoke beautifully of their love and a table that once belonged to Rachael's grandmother, held their unity candle and bible during the ceremony.

After an epic dance party on the patio under the stars and twinkle lights, guests ventured to the front of the barn to witness a spectacular SURPRISE firework display put on by the venue. One of our first firework displays, and it did not disappoint! Check out the footage in the highlight video below! Extra big thank you's to our photographer, Adria Lea and our videography team from Joy Neville Photography + Films

DANIELLE + NICK | JEFFERSON TOWER

Happy Monday friends! It's a special day indeed! Today we're sharing Danielle + Nick's intimate wedding set in the woods of South Dallas. D + N are locals to our old neighborhood, Bishop Arts, and found us while wandering past the studio one night while walking the pups. It was love at first sight for this one. Once Danielle shared her wedding vision, we were hooked!

Set in the lush woodland landscape of Cedar Ridge Preserve just south of downtown Dallas, D+N tied the knot on stage and under a stunning copper arch styled by Silka + her team with Jefferson Tower Events. The setting was a perfect expression of the couple -- laid back and personable with a subtle hint of whimsy. Of course, the pups mentioned before made an appearance for their parents wedding day and managed to steal a little spotlight for themselves as dogs tend to do. Its hard to contain all that excitement when your parents get married!

Once official, the newlyweds and party moved to the top floor of Jefferson Tower for an excellent view of downtown Dallas and an epic dinner + dance party. Danielle always envisioned a single long table to seat all of their guests and the final design did not disappoint! The minimalism in decor made a statement of it's own; the all white setting was the perfect backdrop. Big thank you to Ashley Rhian Photography for capturing this epic day so we could share it with all of you!
